General John Abizaid, Arab American

John Philip Abizaid (born April 1, 1951) is a general in the United States Army and the Commander of the United States Central Command (CENTCOM), overseeing American military operations in a 25-country region, from the Horn of Africa to Central Asia, covering much of the Middle East.
Abizaid was born in the United States to a Christian Lebanese-American family, is fully fluent in Arabic, and is the most senior military officer of direct Arab descent. His nickname at West Point was “The Mad Arab.”

I judge people by their actions, reather than their race. I am glad to see that there was a Muslim that succeeded and was recognized for it.

I'm glad to see you say that. But just for the record, Abizaid is not a Muslim. If you'll check a few posts down, you'll see that most Arabs in this country are Christian, not Muslim.

....and the reason for that is that in the middle east Christians are persecuted and victims of genocide so they emigrated to the USA.
In other words, what Anonymous is trying to say is: Christians are the good guys and Muslims are the bad guys.
